Micky & The Motorcars | Live at Billy Bob's Texas
1h 30m
it's no secret that music is in the blood of the Braun Family. They grew up in rural Challis, Idaho - with no TV and not much to do, they all played an instrument and excelled in music. Their dad Muzzie Braun promoted and toured with the boys... Micky, Gary, Cody and Willy. In fact they appeared together twice on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Billy Bob's has been a constant part of their lives as well. Gary recalls "the first time we came to Billy Bob's was around 1991 0r 1992 putting Micky and I about ages 11 and 12. We were there because my dad's buddy KW (Turnbow) was playing drums with Chris LeDoux and had invited us down to come and see the show. I remember being pretty impressed that a bar could hold more people than my home town and have guys like Chris LeDoux lined up to play on a regular basis." Micky and Gary Braun formed Micky and The Motorcars, and are joined by Kris Farrow, Shane Vannerson, and Mark McCoy. Pretty soon, Micky and The Motorcars were playing at Billy Bob's on a regular basis...Gary continues, "So 17 years later when we got the chance to record a live record in such a historic place with our band, we were happy to do so!" The night of their "Live at Billy Bob's Texas" recording was special in the club and backstage... their mother and other family were in attendance. They spent the day taking family photos around the entire historic Stockyards district. Each of the songs has a story, and like most great songs, you can interpret your own story too! One thing's for sure, you'll be seeing the Braun brothers entertaining at Billy Bob's for years to come.
