Randy Rogers Band | Live at Billy Bob's Texas
59m
Take a group of guys who can share life experiences through song and incredible musicianship, mix in the word-smithing talent and guidance of their friend Kent Finlay, and a dash of the bold story telling of Cody Canada and you have the recipe for success for Texas newest sensation, The Randy Rogers Band! The boy-next-door from Cleburne, Texas first rode into Billy Bob’s Texas as an opening act…and when they returned to record this live at Billy Bob’s Texas CD – he had a full house of screaming fans! Their appeal? Songs that people can relate to…about girls, money, and issues that affect the human soul. Randy Rogers songwriting ability means he will never run out of material as an entertainer. He wrote or co-wrote most of the songs on this album. The listener will feel like they are sitting in the front row at the legendary concert venue in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, in the midst of the crazy crowd as Rogers sings “Down and Out” and reminds us to keep on keeping on. Radney Foster, one of country music’s most talented writers and performers, cowrote with Rogers on “Somebody Take Me Home” and on the smash radio hit “Tonight’s Not The Night”, where the audience loudly sang along with every word. The show came to an end with Rogers rendition of Gary Stewarts’ “Empty Glass”, paying homage to the departed country legend as well as to the late record producer Rick Smith of Smith Music Group, who signed the Randy Rogers Band to their first record deal.
Randy Rogers Band has all the ingredients to be superstars in country music, while in Rogers words “staying true, keeping it real, writing songs that people will dig, and writing with people that will continue to broaden my horizons”.
We are so proud of Randy Rogers Band Live at Billy Bob’s Texas CD and DVD – where every song is a treasure! I hope you’ll enjoy this as much as everyone here at The World’s Largest Honky Tonk does.
